Creative Paradise earthenware ceramic tiles work wonderfully to add a texture to glass in a kiln. Generally, any glass piece can be heated and textured on a texture tile. For the most reliable results the use of fusible glass is recommended. Note: If fusing more than one piece of glass together they must both be the same COE.
Once textured, the glass can be slumped to create decorative bowls and platters or used flat as a design element in stained glass panels and sun catchers. They also add additional depth to any mosaic project. When slumped using a common slump firing schedule, the texture will remain intact.
Mold preparation is important before using this mold. Apply 2 to 3 thin coats of a quality glass mold wash. Ensure the mold is completely dry before firing. Note: Using a thick kiln wash on the mold can fill in too much of the texture detail. Jubilee Creative recommends using FS100 - Premo Primer Kiln Wash.
